Buy Allium 'Round n Purple' ornamental onion bulb (syn Round and Purple ): Enormous blooms are one of the largest in the allium family.

    Impressive large lollipop flowerheads are made up of masses of dense pretty, silvery purple star-shaped flowers. These enormous blooms which are one of the largest in the allium family are supported on strong upright stems. The leaves start to dieback before the flowers appear so best planted amongst perennials in large groups for maximum impact.

  • Garden care: Plant 15cm deep and 20-30m apart so the flowers don't get over-crowded. Make sure the soil does not get too wet or waterlogged and split and divide large clumps in spring or autumn.
