Description

The good people behind Dalefoot wool compost have turned their hands to making digging a little less back-breaking.

Lakeland Gold compost is a bracken-based soil conditioner to enrich and open up heavy clay soil. Naturally high in potash, the mix is sustainably produced in the UK by blending bracken harvested from the Cumbrian Fells with farmyard manure.

Composted and left to cure over time, the natural lignin in the bracken helps to break up clay, releasing the nutrients within and making soil looser and easier to work.

It also supplies slow-releases nutrients, helps with water retention and provides extra nutrition for our earthworm friends.

Each bag contains 30 litres when packed.
