'Magic Lantern' is a vigorous clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with showy terminal racemes of pea-like flowers and palm-shaped, mid-green leaves. Dense spikes of dark purple and yellow blooms appear from June to July.

How to care for Lupinus Magic Lantern (PBR):
Stake with bamboo canes or other natural supports in spring before the flowers appear and deadhead the faded blooms to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slug and snail damage, and against hard frosts by covering the crown of the plant with organic mulch.

This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
