Description

These vine weevil predator nematodes let you control one of the most destructive garden pests nature's way.

Simply mixing into water, the tiny microscopic nematodes can be easily applied with a watering can or knapsack sprayer to raised beds, flower beds and borders.

Once established in the garden, they will seek out, infect and destroy black vine weevil larvae feeding on your plants’ roots. After infection by nematodes, the larvae will turn dark brown and disintegrate.

For best results ensure compost/soil is moist before application and for some days afterwards. This will help the nematodes enter compost to search and find larvae.

Avoid applying in bright conditions as nematodes are sensitive to UV light. Use as soon as possible after receipt or store in a fridge unopened. Gel packs can be stored for 10 weeks.

In cooler conditions (spring and late autumn), you will receive Steinernema nematodes, a species that thrives in lower soil temperatures. In the summer months, you will receive Heterorhabditis which is more active in higher temperatures.
