I use the cloche when I put out tomato plants in the spring and the weather has turned inclement thus protecting baby plants

These Victorian cloches are beautiful making an attractive addition to the borders in early summer. They are, however, heavy and fragile; they also require storage space. Furthermore, they need frequent lifting in wam/hot weather to reduce potential for scorching young plants.

I Do feel I have done the best I can to protect my special plants from whatever the weather does to damage them.

Perfect present

Bought as a present for my mum, it looks great nestled in her garden and has protected her plants from the cold and wind and from getting trampled or eaten by the tortoise.

Very smart

Solid, good design except needs to be lifted with two hands, not by the main ring as may not be strong enough. Bought one for my mum and one for me, both very chuffed with them. Currently got hellebore flowering well under mine.

A cool cloche!

I bought this to protect some chilli plants from colder/windier weather and I was pleased to find that the cloche is: 1) quite capable of accommodating a decent size plant pot and plant, 2) heavier and studier than I had hoped, and 3) looks great!

Beautiful design. Lid lifts for warmer days. Large size is useful. The packaging is insufficient for this quite delicate object. Ours was broken on arrival and the second one needed bending into shape. Copper is pliable and glass isn't so more thought needs to go into robust protection during transport. However the product is gorgeous.

Hi I was wondering if there is any ventilation to these cloches? is it possible to take the top off?

Catherine

Hello, unfortunately the Bronze lantern cloche does not have any ventilation. Many apologies.

Product Buyer

Hi could you tell me approximately how much these weigh? We are thinking of putting them somewhere quite windy and don't want them to blow over! Thanks

jcdude

Hello, the small cloche is approx 3 kg and the large is approx 5 kg. Hope this helps.
