Would this work against a neighbours fence who will not allow nails etc. Ie free standing but against a fence?

Hello, Ideally these should be secured to the wall, but if you can firmly push it into the ground then you will get a degree of stability. These are really only designed to help give your plants support early on in their lives, but in the long term most climbers will need a sturdier framework to grow onto.
