Practical garden sculpture

5

Great for lighting a log fire on the patio in the evening. Sits low on the ground and was much improved by resting it on an iron tripod that a friend happened to have kicking around in his garden. Very well made, solid and heavy and makes a striking garden sculpture throughout the year.

Excellent firebowl

5

I've had my firebowl for a couple of years, it replaced a Kadai which although beautiful rusted through very quickly. It's a good size and depth and holds a good lot of logs, so a great fire. Mine shows no sign of rusting -it was left outside first winter, but this winter has been stored inside because it has a tendency to fill with water. A piece of metal mesh placed over the hole and some pea gravel on top helps this, so the ash doesn't clog the hole. It is a heavy, well made firebowl and I'm still very pleased that I bought it

Disappointing

We are wondering if we should drill some holes in it to allow for air flow as it is difficlult to get a real blaze going.

Great buy

The fire pit arrived very promptly in great condition, was easy to set up and did a great job in providing the centre piece to our brilliant summer party as the night wore on. We were still sitting round it at 1 am!

We used this whilst celebrating a birthday in October and again at Christmas. It's a good size and fire's last well in it. I am sure it will have a great deal of use throughout the year.

Great product

It's made of very heavy solid cast iron and will need two people to put it in place and assemble but once assembled it can be moved easily single handed. It's a good size for sitting round and being bowl shaped its easy to keep the fire going. I sometimes sit out by it with the dog just stargazing or watching the flickering flames. Roll on the dark nights again

Will this bowl be ok without its stand, but sitting on a cemented stone circle to keep the base raised slightly off the ground?

Tanty

Yes, this fire bowl can be used independently of its stand, as long as your cemented stone circle is level and stable.

Kerry

Could I drill a drainage hole in the bottom?

francilien

Hello, Yes you can drill a drainage hole in the bottom of the Cast Iron fire pit.

Product Buyer

Does it have drainage hole? Thanks

Gardener

Unfortunately this brazier does not have a drainage hole. It will need to be emptied before each use if left outside.

Product Buyer, Crocus

Can you tell me the thickness (gauge) of the cast iron? Thank you

countrylady

Hello there The cast iron is approx 8mm thick. Hope this helps.

Do you get a fire grate with this fire pit?

Ali

Hello, No, I'm afraid this fire pit / brazier does not come with a grill.

helen
