This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: moderately fertile, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

In this collection you will receive 6 different stonecrops. They are a varied group of plants, but all have fleshy leaves and most will produce star-shaped flowers in summer or autumn. Sun-loving and drought-tolerant, they are excellent in patio pots and windowboxes. Please note that the ceramic pot shown in some of the images is not included. They do however make excellent potted plants, and if you wish to pot yours up, we do have a wide range of pots on our website to choose from.

  • Garden care: Cut back spreading species after flowering. Water moderately when actively growing and avoid winter wet.

Healthy plants

I planted a variety of succulents into two pots at my front door then top dressed with gravel. They virtually looked after themselves, and have survived the winter. Hopefully the spring will see them looking good again and flowering in the summer.
