Plant description
Attractive foliage consisting of three palmate leaflets, each with a notched edge, forms in clusters along the creeping stolons. In partial shade alpine strawberries will spread as ground cover, in full sun, small, round decorative and edible fruits are formed. Use them at the front of the border, lining the edge of a path, or for spilling over the rim of a pot.

This plant is semi-evergreen, so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new foliage appears again in spring.
